David Arquette gets back in the ring for his new pro-wrestling film You Cannot Kill David Arquette.
The fdocumentary from David Darg and Price James highlights the Scream actor’s rocky comeback to the world of professional wrestling and his attempt to becoming a respected name in the bloody sport.
In 2000, Arquette took home the World Championship Wrestling grand prize, receiving backlash from fellow wrestlers and critics. Nearly 20 years after the controversial win, the One Last Run/XTR pic sees the Hollywood figure train for his anticipated match against wrestling star Ken Anderson.
“It’s been 18 years of people thinking I disrespected wrestling. I’m just kind of sick of being a joke,” Arquette says in the trailer.
The body slam-filled teaser, in all its bloody glory, goes on to feature the various health problems Arquette has faced during his time away from the sport, while juxtaposing them with footage of dangerous matches and training tactics.
