‘Wine Country’ Trailer: Poehler, Rudolph, Dratch & Other ‘SNL’ Alums Drinkin’, Partyin’ & Streamin’

[WATCH] 'Wine Country' Trailer: Rachel Dratch,

Get ready to binge with Netflix — binge drink, that is. The streamer has uncorked the first trailer for Wine Country, a femme-fronted party where everyone’s hammered and (nearly) everyone used to work late on Saturdays. Check it out above, spo-dee-o-dee.

Amy Poehler directs and stars in the homage to the fruit of the vine that doubles as a Saturday Night Live reunion. Here’s the Merlot-down: In honor of Rebecca’s (Rachel Dratch) 50th birthday, Abby (Poehler) plans a scenic Napa getaway with their longtime best friends. Workaholic Catherine (Ana Gasteyer), post-op Val (Paula Pell), homebody Jenny (Emily Spivey) and weary mom Naomi (Rudolph) are equally sold on the chance to relax and reconnect. Yet as the alcohol flows, real-world uncertainties intrude on the punchlines and gossip, and the women begin questioning their friendships and futures.

Jason Schwartzman, Cherry Jones, SNL alumna Tina Fey, bottles of red and bottles of white co-star in the fermented film, which puts the blurry focus on friendship, aging and, well, drinking. Check out Rudolph kinda sorta channeling Michelle Pfeiffer in The Fabulous Baker Boys but ending up more, shall we say, sideways.

Netflix ‘Jingle Jangle’ Musical Adds Keegan-Michael Key, Phylicia Rashad, Anika Noni Rose & Madalen Mills
