‘The Offer’ Trailer: Miles Teller Stars As Albert S. Ruddy In Paramount+’s Making Of The Godfather Series

The Offer

Miles Teller’s Albert S. Ruddy has gotten his marching orders. “We’ve been all over town, no one wants to make this movie so I need you to produce it. Now get going!”

So begins the official trailer for The Offer, Paramount+’s original limited event series about the making of The Godfather movie, starring Teller as the two-time Oscar-winning producer.

In addition to Teller, The Offer stars Matthew Goode as Robert Evans, Juno Temple as Bettye McCartt, Giovanni Ribisi as Joe Colombo, Dan Fogler as Francis Ford Coppola, Burn Gorman as Charles Bluhdorn, Colin Hanks as Barry Lapidus and Patrick Gallo as Mario Puzo.

The Offer
is based on Ruddy’s experience making the iconic 1972 film that Francis Ford Coppola directed and adapted with Mario Puzo from Puzo’s bestselling novel. The movie starred Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, James Caan, John Cazale, Robert Duvall, Diane Keaton and Talia Shire; it was nominated for 11 Oscars and won three — including Best Picture for Ruddy.

From Paramount Television Studios, the 10-episode event series is created and written by Oscar and Emmy-nominated writer Michael Tolkin (“Escape at Dannemora,” “The Player”) and also written and executive produced by Nikki Toscano (“Hunters”), who serves as showrunner. In addition to Tolkin and Toscano, two-time Oscar-winner Albert S. Ruddy (“Million Dollar Baby,” “The Longest Yard,” “Hogan’s Heroes”), Miles Teller, Russell Rothberg and Leslie Greif, who also developed the series, serve as executive producers alongside Dexter Fletcher (“Rocketman”), who also directed the first block of the series.

The Offer premieres Thursday, April 28 for Paramount+ in the U.S. with the first three episodes of the 10-episode series. The remaining seven episodes will stream weekly on consecutive Thursdays. The Offer will also premiere exclusively for Paramount+ subscribers in Canada, Latin America, the Nordics and Australia.
