‘The Next Thing You Eat’ Trailer: Hulu Docuseries Finds David Chang Exploring Food And Technology

David Change Hulu Docuseries

“In food and food science, there is unbelievable ingenuity around the corner.” Those are the first words from restauranteur and Ugly Delicious creator David Chang in the trailer for the Hulu original, The Next Thing You Eat. From Chang and documentary filmmaker Morgan Neville, the six-episode docuseries tackles the food and food production industry and how technology can hurt or improve the quality of the food we consume now and in the future.

Chang and a diverse cast of characters dive head first into what lies ahead, including everything from burger-flipping robots to lab-grown fish, to insect farms, to artificial intelligence calling all the shots.

The Next Thing You Eat is produced by Tremolo Productions and Majordomo Media for Vox Media Studios. Executive producers include Chang, Christopher Chen, Dave O’Connor, and Chris Ying on behalf of Majordomo Media, Neville and Caitrin Rogers on behalf of Tremolo Productions, and Chad Mumm on behalf of Vox Media Studios.

It is Hulu’s latest food series following the launch of Padma Lakshmi’s Taste The Nation, which was renewed for a second season debuting November 21. The Next Thing You Eat will premiere one month earlier on October 21 via Hulu.
