Netflix has released a trailer to preview Season 2 of The Kominsky Method, its Golden Globe-winning and Emmy-nominated comedy series from Chuck Lorre that stars Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin. The new season launches October 25.
In Season 2, Douglas’ Sandy Kominsky and his longtime agent Norman Newlander (Arkin) continue to navigate their later years in Los Angeles. The trailer shows Sandy meeting and bonding with his daughter’s new, older boyfriend (Paul Reiser) — best quip: When Mindy (Sarah Baker) tells Sandy that the two have a lot in common, he replies: “Sure, we both dodged polio. Then, after a beat, he asks, “He did, didn’t he?” In the meantime, Norman reconnects with an old flame (Jane Seymour) from his youth. Nancy Travis and Lisa Edelstein also star.
Lorre, Al Higgins and Douglas are executive producers of the series, from Chuck Lorre Productions in association with Warner Bros Television.
The Kominsky Method scored three Emmy noms for its debut season, including Lead Actor in a Comedy for Douglas and Supporting Actor for Arkin. It also was selected as one of AFI’s TV Programs of the Year 2018, received three SAG Awards and two Critics’ Choice nominations.
