Warner Bros/DC’s newest superhero movie The Flash starring Ezra Miller got a trailer Sunday during coverage of the Super Bowl. The long-in-the-works film hits theaters June 16.
Miller reprises their role in the DC Universe as Barry Allen/The Flash, after originating it in Justice League. They have since been at the center of several tabloid headlines — including a burglary trial in Vermont that resulted in a plea deal — that has thrown the actor’s future in the DC world into flux.

A couple of weeks ago during the unveiling of the new DC game plan, bosses Peter Safran and James Gunn said they haven’t shut the door on Miller’s return as The Flash. Both gushed over the Andy Muschietti-directed pic, which has been riding out Covid delays, saying how it will reset the DC Universe. Christina Hodson penned the script.
Gunn even said “Flash is probably one of the greatest superhero movies ever made.” We’ve heard The Flash has tested through the roof, with one non-studio observer telling us the DC title is “Spider-Man: No Way Home good” with its multiverse plotlines and Batman cameos by Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck.
In the film, It director Andy Muscheitti is directing the pic from a screenplay written by Christina Hodson. DC primed the pump earlier in the week by debuting the poster which you can see here.
