Tonight Show bandleader and Oscar’s musical director Questlove dropped a trailer during Oscars tonight for his upcoming documentary Summer of Soul (…Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised) which won the Documentary Grand Jury Prize at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. Two days after that feat, Searchlight and Hulu snagged global rights to the docu which chronicles the legendary 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival which celebrated African American music and culture, and promoted Black pride and unity.
