Dave Grohl Haunts Foo Fighters In ‘Studio 666’ Official Trailer – Updated With Redband Version

'Studio 666' Official Trailer: Foo Fighters Horror Comedy Movie

UPDATED with redband trailer: When Deadline first revealed that Dave Grohl and his Foo Fighters bandmates had covertly made the film Studio 666, we suggested it was A Hard Day’s Night of the Living Dead. The first full trailer for the film being released February 25 by Open Road just dropped and it seems to live up to that billing, with laughs, scares and splatter mixed in for good measure.

Watch the original trailer above and the newly released — and NSFW — red band one below. Grohl provides the intro.

Dave Grohl, A Rock Star Possessed, Drums Up Scares In ‘Studio 666’ – Deadline Q&A

Pic is the story of what happens when the legendary rock band rents an Encino mansion steeped in grisly rock and roll history to record their 10th album. Going in, Grohl is creatively blocked, and when evil forces in the house sink into his consciousness, the creative juices begin flowing but so does the blood. Can Foo Fighters complete the album, with the band still alive to tour?

Along with Grohl and bandmates Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett & Rami Jaffee who play themselves, the cast includes Whitney Cummings, Leslie Grossman, Will Forte, Jenna Ortega and Jeff Garlin. The pic is directed by BJ McDonnell and the international release date will be set soon by Open Road CEO Tom Ortenberg and Foo Fighters.
