Kacey Musgraves is taking her music over to entertainment, unveiling the trailer for her upcoming film star-crossed.
Set to debut exclusively on Paramount+ on Friday, September 10th, the star-crossed film is directed by Bardia Zeinali. The film will drop the same day as Musgraves’ new star-crossed album. star-crossed touts the singer’s newest 15-track record and structures the numbers as three-act modern-day tragedy. star-crossed: the film tells the singer’s personal journey of heartache and healing.
The 50-minute movie was shot over 10 days in Los Angeles and features appearances from a number of entertainers including Emmy-winner Eugene Levy, Hacks breakout and comedian Megan Stalter and RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 13 winner Symone. star-crossed also sees cameos from Princess Nokia, You’s Victoria Pedretti and more.
star-crossed: the film is presented by Interscope Films and is an Anonymous Content Production in association with UMG Nashville, Sandbox Entertainment and Golden Girl Productions. The music film also hails from MTV Entertainment Studios.
The “High Horse” and “Butterflies” singer won four Grammy Awards in 2018, including album of the year for her record Golden Hour. She also took home the best country solo performance, best country song and best country album at the Grammys.
