The first trailer for Puss In Boots: The Last Wish was released Tuesday and the swashbuckling feline and his friends are ready to take on a new adventure.
The long-awaited Puss In Boots sequel follows the daring outlaw who discovers that his passion for peril and disregard for safety have taken their toll. He’s burned through eight of his nine lives, though he lost count along the way. Getting those lives back will send Puss in Boots on his grandest quest yet.
Deadline exclusively revealed the return of Salma Hayek Pinault to the franchise and the addition of Harvey Guillen, Florence Pugh, Olivia Colman, John Mulaney, Wagner Moura, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Anthony Mendez, Ray Winstone and Samson Kayo.
Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado serve as director and co-director of The Last Wish, respectively; Mark Swift will produce. All three are part of The Croods: A New Age creative team.
The film is executive produced by Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri. Universal is set to handle distribution.
