Governor Andrew Cuomo is making his latest late-night talkshow appearance, appearing via video on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
The politician told Fallon on tonight’s show that it’s often tough to tell New Yorkers what to do but that the majority of people in the city are doing the right thing.
However, he warned that they must remain “disciplined”, particularly as the weather starts to improve, and must continue to wear masks out in public and that it was “disrespectful” not to.
“We laid out the facts and they did what they had to do, which is a great New York expression,” he said. “They did it, they did it very well and that made all the difference in the world. We still need to stay disciplined, the weather’s warm now and people want to get outside. They want to hang out. When you say the worst is over, some people start to unwind. Wear the mask.”
Cuomo added that the “silver lining” to the quarantine was to get to spend time with his three daughters, who are now in their 20s. “In a crazy way, this gave me time with them that I never would have had,” he added.
