Some stories are best told visually.
With that in mind, Deadline this week has launched Deadline Now, a regular video series that reveals a different side of the stories our readers care most about. It will explore everything from castings to COVID, ratings to firings, and late-night TV to the latest breaking news. The project’s driving imperative is visual storytelling.
Deadline Now is spearheaded by Deadline reporter and New Hollywood podcast co-host Amanda N’Duka.

That ups the bar for president Donald Trump who, over the past few months has tried to find a way to deliver his RNC speech next week in his favorite setting: In front of a large, adoring audience.
That’s likely not happening. The president will encounter a more challenging atmosphere. But Trump, who’s pulling all the levers at the convention, is still finding ways to add his own brand of showmanship.
