Bullet Train

UPDATED with new trailer, 7:15 AM: “My bad luck is biblical,” Brad Pitt’s Ladybug says. “I’m not even try to kill people and someone dies.”

Pitt is on one bloody mission in Bullet Train. Sony Pictures has released the second trailer for the David Leitch-helmed action pic, which also stars Sandra Bullock, Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Hiroyuki Sanada, Zazie Michael Shannon, Andrew Koji and Benito A Martínez Ocasio (aka Bad Bunny). Check it out above.

It’s clearly not an easy first day back at work for Pitt, an experienced assassin who finds himself among several other professional killers with a similar mission on the titular train.

“Everything that’s ever happened to you has led you here. Fate,” one character tells Pitt’s character in the trailer set to a Japanese-language cover of “Stayin’ Alive.” “Well that’s a sh*t deal,” he replies.

Deadpool 2‘s Leitch directs from a screenplay by Zak Olkewicz based on the Japanese novel Maria Beetle by bestselling author Kotaro Isaka.

Kelly McCormick produces through 87North along with Leitch and Antoine Fuqua. Kat Samick is exec producing with Brent O’Connor, Ryosuke Saegusa and Yuma Terada. Brittany Morrissey is the executive overseeing the project for Sony Pictures.

Columbia’s Bullet Train hits theaters on August 15, having moved from July 15 and then from July 29.
