‘Bull’ First-Look Clip: Annie Silverstein’s Cannes Un Certain Regard Pic Grabs Hope By The Horns

EXCLUSIVE: Here’s the first-look clip of Annie Silverstein’s Bull, which is playing in the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes Film Festival that gets underway today. It marks the feature debut of writer-director Silverstein, whose short Skunk won Cannes’ Cinéfondation Prize in 2014.

Rob Morgan, Yolonda Ross and Amber Havard star in the film, about the intersecting lives in suburban Houston of a wayward 14-year-old girl (Havard) coping with her mother’s incarceration and an aging veteran (Rob Morgan) of the rarely glimpsed world of the black rodeo circuit. Both at a crossroads, they forge an unexpected connection, helping each other see new possibilities and hope for the future.

The pic is produced by Bert Marcus, Monique Walton, Heather Rae and Ryan Zacarias. It is being sold in the Cannes market, with 30WEST handling U.S. rights and Film Constellation repping international.

Check out the clip above.
