‘Succession’s Brian Cox Re-Creates ‘Euphoria’ Scene As Sydney Sweeney’s Cassie On ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ – Watch

Brian Cox on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'

Last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Succession star Brian Cox offered a colorful interpretation of a pivotal scene from Euphoria‘s second season, stepping into the role of Cassie, played by Sydney Sweeney.

The scene in question finds Cox digitally inserted into a high school restroom, conveying his romantic feelings for Nate (Jacob Elordi) to Rue (Zendaya), Kat (Barbie Ferreira), Maddy (Alexa Demie) and Lexi (Maude Apatow).

“F**k it. I’m in love with Nate Jacobs,” says Cox as Cassie, “and he’s in love with me. And don’t you f*cking give me that look, honey!”

Euphoria follows a group of high school students, including Zendaya’s drug addict Rue, through their experiences of identity, trauma, drugs, family, friendships, love and sex. HBO’s popular teen drama series from creator Sam Levinson recently came to the end of its second season, and has already been picked up for a third. This time around, it established itself as the most-watched series in the history of the premium cabler, behind only the epic fantasy series Game of Thrones.

In Succession, from creator Jesse Armstrong, Cox plays Logan, the acerbic Roy family patriarch who fights with his kids for control of the global media and entertainment conglomerate, Waystar Royco. The HBO dark comedy has captured the zeitgeist to a similar extent, and was renewed for a fourth season last fall.
