Mary McCormack & Alicia Witt Join ‘House Of Lies’; Lindsey Gort In ‘Self Promotion’

Mary McCormack (In Plain Sight) and Alicia Witt (Justified) are set to guest star on the fourth season of Showtime comedy House Of Lies. McCormack will play Denna Altshuler, a tough, highly successful white knight investor who Marty (Don Cheadle) recruits to help save Kaan & Associates. Witt will play Maya Lindholm, a brilliant engineer who comes to Marty’s rescue when he’s in a bind. McCormack, repped by CAA and Untitled Entertainment, recently wrapped indie features The Compound and A Country Called Home. She’ll next be seen in Aram Rappaport’s A Conspiracy On Jekyll Island. She also recently appeared on ABC’s Scandal. Innovative Artists- repped Witt’s TV credits include The Sopranos, The Mentalist, Two And A Half Men, Friday Night Lights and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.

Lindsey Gort 2Lindsey Gort (The Carrie Diaries) has joined the cast of Self Promotion, MTV’s dark comedy pilot that will be directed by Zach Braff. Self Promotion centers on overworked assistant Katie Preston (Alexandra Krosney) who discovers that her dragon lady boss is missing (or worse). Gort, repped by Pakula/King & Associates and Sanders Armstrong Caserta Management, will play Tess, the assistant to the Managing Editor of the website who is the nemesis to Katie. To make matters worse, she has a thing for Josh (Ben Bledsoe).
