Kyle Killen Inks First-Look Deal With Paramount TV

Paramount Television, in tandem with Anonymous Content, has signed a two-year, first-look deal with Kyle Killen, creator of Lone Star, Awake and Mind Games, and his recently launched company Chapter Eleven. The pact stems from a three-year first-look deal Paramount TV inked in May with True Detective producer Anonymous Content, which manages Killen. Under the pact, Paramount TV will have first crack at producing and distributing scripted series developed by Chapter Eleven, in which Killen is partnered with AMC VP scripted programming Scott Pennington. Before joining AMC in 2011, Pennington worked at ABC Family and ABC Studios.

“We are thrilled that through our partnership with Anonymous, we will be collaborating with Kyle and Scott to create complex, character-driven programming that is representative of an exciting new age of television entertainment,” said Paramount TV president Amy Powell.

Killen, who previously had an overall deal at 20th TV, joins Paramount TV’s roster, which includes Robert Zemeckis, Dustin Lance Black, Craig Brewer, Joe Carnahan, David Hollander, Akiva Goldsman, Andrew Niccol and Jeff Pinkner

In addition to Anonymous Content, Killen is repped by WME.
