‘Transporter: The Series’ Review: Dominic Patten On TNT’s High-Octane Adaptation

It’s time to get your TV motor running, to paraphrase Steppenwolf, as TNT’s Transporter: The Series debuts Saturday at 9 PM. The internationally produced adaptation of Luc Besson’s big-screen franchise starring Jason Statham now has Chris Vance in the role of unflappable tough guy Frank Martin. The medium and the main man may be different, but the rules are still the same – no names, never change the deal and don’t open the package.

TNT gold logoThe long story short of my review is that Transporter is the kind of action-packed TV that used to populate the small screen and is a welcome return. So buckle up and take a ride with my review and tell us what you think too.

TNT picked up the first and second seasons of the show, which has been seen around the globe already, earlier this year. It is produced by Atlantique Prods., with executive producer Olivier Bibas, and QVF Inc., with producer Susan Murdoch. The showrunner for the second season is The X-Files veteran Frank Spotnitz. Vance and Fred Fuchs are also EPs.
