Carlton Cuse, the hardest working drama showrunner at the moment with three series and two pilots, has signed a three-year, first-look development deal with A+E Studios, which is behind two of his series, Bates Motel and the upcoming The Returned, both for A&E.
Cuse will work with A+E Studios EVP Barry Jossen and his team to develop drama series for the A+E portfolio of networks, including A&E, Lifetime and History. Former Lost co-showrunner Cuse also worked with Jossen at ABC Studios, which produced the hit ABC drama. “I’m very excited to be extending my relationship with A+E where I’ve had such a wonderful and supportive creative experience,” Cuse said.
WME-repped Cuse executive produces Bates Motel, The Returned as well as FX’s The Strain, which has been renewed for a second season. He also has pilots Point Of Honor at Amazon and Colony at USA.
