Robert Simonds’ Studio Makes Rich Sullivan Official, Adds Biz & Legal Affairs EVP

Robert Simonds’ new studio has officially hired Rich Sullivan to serve as Chief Financial Officer, as Deadline first reported in August. Before his run as Deputy Chief Financial Officer at DreamWorks Animation SKG, Sullivan served as VP, Investor Relations at AT&T Corp working on the company’s mergers and acquisitions team and the Business Services and Solutions division. He’ll report to COO Thomas McGrath.

Former DreamWorks SVP of Business Affairs Philip Goore is also moving over to the new next-gen studio as Executive Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs for the Motion Picture Group, after previously serving in senior business affairs positions at Universal Pictures, New Line Cinema. At Simonds’ new shingle he’ll oversee business affairs and legal for film, including talent and rights deals, marketing contracts, guilds, tax, credits, co-production and financing agreements, and more. He’ll also lead legal staff on film development, production, marketing, and distribution. Goore reports to General Counsel Noah Fogelson.
