ABC Buys Comedy ‘Juvie’ From ‘Michael J. Fox Show’s Sam Laybourne

EXCLUSIVE: WGA Award-nominated Sam Laybourne has sold comedy project Juvie to ABC. The Cougar Town alum and co-creator of last year’s Sam Laybourne The Michael J. Fox Show will write the pilot episode of the single-camera comedy about a privileged and naive golden boy, who takes a job at a juvenile hall and discovers he has more to learn than to teach. Sue Naegle is producing for the Naegle Ink shingle she created after departing her post as HBO President of Entertainment last fall.

Laybourne, who shared two WGA nominations for writing on Fox’s Arrested Development, is repped by UTA and Myman Greenspan.
