‘Real Housewives’ Teresa Giudice Cancels Public Appearance After Receiving Jail Sentence

In the wake of receiving a 15-month jail sentence for multiple fraud charges, Bravo’s Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice tweeted out today that she has canceled an upcoming Oct. 8 appearance in which she was scheduled to autograph bottles of her Fabellini Wine.  However, she hints that her rainy days won’t keep her down — there’s bound to be more appearances. “Hi, I just want to be clear there will be no Fabellini appearance this week,” tweeted Giudice.

“The Fabellini Wine’Down Wednesday” was to take place at Bibi’z Restaurant and Lounge in Westwood, NJ. The appearance offered Giudice fans to buy an autographed bottle of wine from the reality star and have their photo taken with her.  In addition, an autographed bottled of wine was 25% with the purchase of dinner at Bibi’z. The event promoter, VelocityOne Media, also put out a statement that read, “Due to the recent, very unfortunate circumstances at hand, #TERESAGIUDICE will Not be appearing at Bibi’z Restaurant & Lounge on October 8th. This event is Canceled. Disregard flyer below. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope you all understand. Have a safe weekend.”

On Thursday, Giudice was handed 15 months in prison by a federal judge on multiple fraud charges that she pleaded guilty to earlier this year. The Reality TV cast member has to surrender to authorities on January 5 next year. A U.S. District Court Judge also gave Teresa’s husband Giuseppe “Joe” Giudice three years-plus in jail for bankruptcy, bank and mortgage fraud charges totaling more than $4 million.  To the left, a flyer for the “Wine’Down” event. On Monday, Oct. 6 at 9 PM ET, the taped appearance of the Giudices on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live:One-on-One With Teresa and Joe will air.
