John Legend Inks Overall Deal With Legendary TV

EXCLUSIVE: The Get Lifted Film Company are going double legend – really. The production company of multi-Grammy winner John Legend and partners Mike Jackson and Ty Stiklorius has signed an overall deal with Legendary Television. No word on specific projects between the Bruce Rosenblum-run LTV and Digital Media and Get Lifted yet but I hear a few announcements could be coming soon.

“We’re so excited about the opportunity to work with Legendary,” Jackson told me today on behalf of himself and the legendary-logoother two partners. “Bruce, Peter and the rest of the team there are some of the best in the business and we’re excited about all of the possibilities that lie ahead.” The new deal for the busy Get Lifted comes just over two years after they had made their first foray into TV with a pod deal with Universal Cable Productions.

With numerous projects on the go for HBO, Showtime, Fox and more, Get Lifted, on the film side, recently went into production with partners Delirio Films on a new docu exploring the changes that urban gardening is bringing to South Central LA. In April, Deadline revealed that Get Lifted and True Detective director Cary Fukunaga would adapt Tom Reiss’ Pulitzer-winning 2012 biography The Black Count: Glory, Revolution, Betrayal, And The Real Count of Monte Cristo for Sony. Get Lifted are repped by WME and Get Lifted and attorney Nina Shaw
