Daniel Sauli Joins HBO Miniseries ‘Show Me A Hero’; Daren Kagasoff in Fox’s ‘Red Band Society’

Daniel Sauli has joined the cast of HBO’s miniseries Show Me A Hero from The Wire co-creator David Simon. Based on the nonfiction book by Lisa Belkin, the six-hour mini stars Oscar Isaac as Nick Wasicsko, the youngest big-city mayor in the nation, who finds himself thrust into the center of a racial controversy when a federal court orders him to build a small number of low-income housing units in the white neighborhoods of his town, Yonkers, NY. His attempt to do so tears the city apart, paralyzes the municipal government and, ultimately, destroys his political future. CESD-repped Sauli will play Terry Zaleski, a state legislator who is elected mayor of Yonkers after Nick Wasicsko (Isaac) leaves office. Sauli’s TV credits include Orange Is The New Black and The Sopranos. His film work includes Deliver Us From Evil, United 93, and upcoming The Wannabe.

Daren Kagasoff has been tapped for a recurring role on Fox’s coming-of age-drama series Red Band Society, from ABC Studios and Amblin TV. Written/exec produced by Margaret Nagle and based on a Spanish format, Red Band Society revolves around teenagers who are long-term hospital patients. Kagasoff will play Hunter, the sarcastic, intellectual bad boy. He’s in the hospital with a life threatening illness, thrown into the red band society and causing mischief as their first renegade member. Kagasoff, repped by Gersh and John Carrabino Management, will next be seen in Ouija for Universal and Blumhouse, slated to bow on October 24.
