Matthew Weiner Sets The Record Straight

Today, I received this email about my news that Christina Wayne left AMC (for Starz?). There has been considerable speculation among DHD’s comments about how much Wayne contributed to the shepherding of Mad Men. Now creator and showrunner Matthew Weiner has asked me to post this from him:

Nikki, I just wanted to set the record straight, since anonymous posters seem to be speaking for me on your site.  It’s very important to me that people know how I really feel, and I would appreciate you getting this out there. I’ve always had a wonderful creative and personal relationship with Christina Wayne. She is a person of great character who has incredible intelligence and taste.  I feel as I know the people at AMC do, that her vision and insight will be missed and wish her the best in her future endeavors.
