IFC’s ‘Maron’ Renewed For Third Season

IFC today announced a third season renewal of Marc Maron’s critically acclaimed original comedy series, Maron, produced by Fox Television Studios. Production begins this fall with 13 all-new half-hour episodes. Building on the success of the first two seasons, Maron will return to IFC in spring 2015 with Marc confronting new issues, new guest stars and new ways to self-sabotage.

Maron is a fictionalized look at Marc’s life and successful WTF podcast.  The second season showed Marc struggling to sustain a meaningful romantic relationship, the public pitfalls of increased success and the difficulties of navigating the perilous waters of family dynamics. “Usually Marc has a hard time maintaining long-term relationships, but luckily not with us,” said IFC president Jennifer Caserta.

Maron is the star, creator, executive producer and writer of Maron, with Apostle’s Denis Leary and Jim Serpico also executive producing, along with Michael Jamin, Sivert Glarum, Tom Sellitti and Olivia Wingate.
