CBS Buys Real-Time Action Drama From Nikki Toscano

After getting to the pilot stage last season, CBS is reuniting with writer Nikki Toscano and Universal TV for another drama project. Last Hour (working title) has Image (1) toscano__140311173340.png for post 697104received a script commitment with penalty from the network. Written by Toscano, the action-packed, high-stakes, real-time drama is in the vein of 24 with a female twist. It follows a female FBI agent in the last hour of an operation as she infiltrates the most dangerous criminal organizations in the world. Toscano is executive producing with John Glenn through Universal TV, where both are under deals.

This is one of several sales for Glenn so far this season, including an exorcism drama at NBC with Amblin TV. Toscano’s CBS pilot last season centered on a retired CIA operative who, when a terrorist event rocks Washington, D.C., is pulled back into action. She is with UTA, Carel Cutler and Patti Felker.
