Toronto: Emma Roberts, Kiernan Shipka Bound For Prep School Thriller ‘February’

Emma Roberts and Kiernan Shipka (Mad Men, Flowers in the Attic) are set to star in horror-thriller February from writer-director Osgood Perkins, the actor and filmmaker son of Anthony Perkins (Legally Blonde, Electric Slide). The film follows a trio of young women: Beautiful and haunted Joan, who makes a bloody and determined pilgrimage across a frozen landscape toward a prestigious all girls prep school, where Rose and Kat find themselves stranded after their parents mysteriously fail to retrieve them for winter break. As Joan gets closer, terrifying visions begin plaguing Kat while Rose watches in horror as she becomes possessed by an unseen evil force.

Perkins has previous scripting credits on thrillers Removal and Cold Comes The Night. February will mark his directing debut and will be produced by Adrienne Biddle and The Strangers‘ Bryan Bertino for Unbroken Pictures and Everly‘s Rob Paris for his Paris Film, Inc. Highland Film Group will be selling international rights at Toronto next month. Roberts is repped by CAA and manager David Sweeney, while Shipka is repped by CAA. Perkins is a client of Paradigm.
