Glenn Gordon Caron Inks Overall Deal With 20th Century Fox TV

EXCLUSIVE: Glenn Gordon Caron has signed a two-year overall deal with 20th Century Fox TV. The veteran showrunner, who created hits Moonlighting and Medium as well as cult drama Now And Again, has been working with the studio on freshman FX drama Tyrant. Caron serves as an executive producer alongside Howard Gordon on the series, produced by 20th TV’s cable division Fox 21, run by Bert Salke. “Glenn is a fantastic producer who has become incredibly important to the studio,” said 20th TV president of creative affairs Jonnie Davis. “He has decades of experience in television and has been a huge asset to Bert and Howard on Tyrant. From Tel Aviv to Istanbul, from script to post, he’s been all-in and completely committed to supporting Howard’s vision.” In addition to his work on Tyrant, Caron also will develop new projects for the studio.

Outside of the 20th TV deal, Caron has a high-profile drama project at Fox network, which is now under the same leadership as 20th TV. The Middle Man, which has a pilot order and has been prepping additional scripts, teamed Caron with Ben Affleck, who is attached to direct. Caron wrote the first two scripts and is doing rewrites on subsequent scripts for the project, which has been put on hold as Affleck is filming Batman V. Superman. Caron, who previously did a long stint at CBS TV Studios with a string of overall deals, is reped by WME, 3Arts and Ziffren Brittenham.
