John Oliver explains native advertising — a.k.a. ads snuck into copy and content in print and digital media, noting he’s “very aware that we’re extremely lucky here on HBO — we don’t have advertisers” so he can say “that Cadbury Creme Eggs are filled with dolphin sperm, or old Navy clothing makes you look like a tacky murderer, or that Snickers only satisfies you for about eight minutes then makes you hate yourself for the rest of the day.”
