Sony Pictures Moves Cameron Crowe Project Out Of Christmas 2014 And Into Summer 2015

Columbia Pictures and Regency Enterprises are delaying the release date of director Cameron Crowe‘s untitled project starring Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone and Rachel McAdams until May 29, 2015. The studio previously dated it for Christmas 2014, but execs decided after seeing the film that it was better as a summer release. That takes it out of any contention for Oscar nominations this year as well. It now will debut the weekend after Memorial Day and in a summer slot that has nothing really competing with it: Insidious: Chapter 3 and Monster Trucks. (more…)
