Monterey Media Acquires Clara Mamet’s ‘Two-Bit Waltz’

Clara Mamet‘s debut feature Two-Bit Waltz has been acquired by Monterey Media, which plans a fall theatrical release. Mamet — the daughter of David Mamet and Rebecca Pidgeon — wrote, directed and stars in the indie comedy alongside Jared Gilman, David Paymer and William H. Macy. It centers on Maude, who is suspended from school, rejected sexually by her one true love — and then her grandmother dies. The will states that Maude will inherit a large sum of money on the condition that she finish her education. Plagued by a broken heart, the loss of a friend and a botched suicide attempt, she  must decide what she wants to do with her life. Eric B. Fleischman is producer.

ICM Partners brokered the deal with monterey media managing partner Scott Mansfield. Mamet, Pidgeon, Gilman and Fleischman are repped by ICM Partners.
