Amazon Adds Steven Soderbergh-Produced ‘Red Oaks’ To Third Pilot Season; Sets Cast

Amazon Studios greenlighted single-camera comedy Red Oaks in March and has now added it to its third pilot season for premiere later this year. Written by Gregory Jacobs (The Knick) and Joe Gangemi, the series stars Craig Roberts (Submarine) as David, an assistant tennis pro at the Red Oaks Country Club in suburban New Jersey in 1985. Paul Reiser (Mad About You), Richard Kind (Luck), Jennifer Grey (It’s Like, You Know) and Oliver Cooper (Californication) also star in the pilot. Oscar-winning filmmaker Steven Soderbergh is attached to executive produce and David Gordon Green (Eastbound & Down) will direct and executive produce. (more…)
