MTV2 Orders ‘Fatawesome’ Comedy Pilot From Viral Video Duo

Fatawesome duo Justin Parker and Jimmy Craig snagged 18.5M views with their 2012 comedy short Cat-Friend vs Dog-Friend, which envisioned in sweetly humorous gags how friends would act if they were animals. Two years and many more comedy videos later the two are set to star in and executive produce their own untitled half-hour sketch comedy pilot, which MTV2 has ordered. Ryan Ling and PJ Morrison, who are executive producers on the network’s Guy Code, will also EP with showrunner Morrison directing the pilot episode.

Boston-based Parker and Craig developed the project with Ling and brought it to MTV’s SVP of Production and Development Paul Ricci. Fatawesome were discovered by comedy writers Evan and Shea Mirzai, who negotiated their deal with attorney Chad Christopher at SMGSB. Ling is repped by ICM and Converge. PJ Morrison is repped at Converge. FATAWESOME is repped by SMGSB. The Mirzais are repped at Paradigm, Principato Young Entertainment and SMGSB.
