William H. Macy revealed on Twitter today that he’s playing opposite Mel Gibson in Jean-Francois Richet‘s Blood Father. Macy tweeted a photo with Gibson on the set. Blood Father is a Taken-style action thriller about an ex-con who reunites with his estranged 16-year old daughter, who has been targeted by drug dealers. Macy is repped by WME. In April, Paramount Home Video and Samuel Goldwyn acquired U.S. rights to Rudderless, Macy’s directorial debut which made its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. That film stars Billy Crudup, Felicity Huffman, Anton Yelchin, Selena Gomez and Laurence Fishburne. Rudderless follows a man (Crudup), who after experiencing the death of his son, forms a band.
