VH1 Picks Up 'Single Ladies' To Series

VH1’s original movie Single Ladies, executive produced by Queen Latifah, will spawn the music/reality channel’s first hourlong scripted series. Stacey Dash, LisaRaye McCoy, Charity Shea, and DB Woodside starred in the movie, which was shot in the summer. Production on the eight-episode series will start at the end of this year, with the movie and the series both premiering in July 2011. Queen Latifah is set to guest star on the show. Single Ladies, written by Stacy Littlejohn and directed by Tamra Davis, is a relationship comedic drama set in the world of Atlanta fashion, music, and celebrity.
