Amanda Peet, Jason Mantzoukas, Natasha Lyonne Join Leslye Headland’s ‘Sleeping With Other People’

Writer-director Leslye Headland’s follow-up to her comedy Bachelorette has added Amanda Peet, The League‘s Jason Mantzoukas, and Natasha Lyonne to its cast as filming ramps up for a June NYC shoot. Sleeping With Other People stars Jason Sudeikis and Alison Brie as a womanizer and a serial cheater who form a platonic relationship to overcome their infidelity issues. It’s the first project under Will Ferrell and Adam McKay’s Gloria Sanchez Productions, the female-oriented sister banner to their Gary Sanchez shingle. Sidney Kimmel Entertainment is financing and co-producing the pic which will be produced by Sidney Kimmel, McKay, Ferrell, and Jessica Elbaum. Project reunites Bachelorette producers McKay, Ferrell, and Elbaum with Headland and actor Adam Scott, who has also joined the cast. Jim Tauber and Carla Hacken will exec produce for SKE. CAA set up financing and is repping North American rights. IM Global is taking the romantic comedy to Cannes this month. (more…)
