CBS Pilots: What Is Still Alive

UPDATE: I;ve learned that comedy Cuz-Bros also is officially dead.

PREVIOUS: I’ve learned that CBS made calls today on several pilots. Some encouraging news (and deja vu) for the single-camera Jim Gaffigan project. I hear that CBS is keeping the pilot alive with a decision to be made after the upfronts. The same happened last year when CBS put two comedy pilots from Sony TV, Jim Gaffigan and The McCarthys on hold pre-upfront and later ordered new pilots for both. The McCarthys went on to clinch a series order yesterday. So far, CBS only has multi-camera comedies for next season. Meanwhile, I hear CBS has passed on the comedy pilot from another standup comedian, Tom Papa’s More Time with Family, fellow comedy Save the Date and dramas Wall Street, Red Zone and untitled David Marshall Grant. I hear no decision has been made official on the How I Met Your Mother spinoff pilot, How I Met Your Dad, which didn’t make the cut yesterday, when CBS picked up two new comedy series, Matthew Perry’s Odd Couple and The McCarthys. I’ll update with more information I get on the remaining CBS comedy pilots.
