Kyle Schmid Joins NBC Drama Pilot ‘Babylon Fields’; Julie Meyer In ‘Mission Control’

Kyle Schmid (Copper) is set for a lead role opposite Meagan Good in NBC drama pilot Babylon Fields, from Michael Cuesta, Gerald Cuesta and Michael Atkinson. The 20th TV-produced project, originally developed and piloted at CBS seven years ago, is about a town’s residents coming back from the dead. Schmid, repped by DBA & Norbert Abrams  in Canada, will play Thomas Wunch who works for the CDC as a scientist and is Janine’s (Good) first love.

Julie Meyer (How I Met Your Mother, The New Normal) has booked a series regular role in NBC’s pilot Mission Control, a Universal TV-produced comedy from executive producers Adam McKay and Will Ferrell. A workplace ensemble set in 1962, Mission Control examines what happens when a strong woman (Krysten Ritter) butts heads with a macho astronaut (Tommy Dewey) in the race to land on the moon. Meyer, repped by Abrams Artists Agency, will play Carol Ann, the earnest, upbeat secretary working for on-site administrator Bob Korman.
