Sundance: Romney On How He Liked ‘Mitt’ Docu – “Enjoy Is The Wrong Word”

Proving there always is a second or third act in American life, former Presidential candidate Mitt Romney just might have a new career as a movie critic – especially when it comes to films about him. “Enjoy is the wrong word,” Romney told me today at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City after I asked him what it was like watching the fly-on-the-wall Netflix docu Mitt about his two runs for the White House. “I’d say I re-lived the campaigns through the film,” he added with a laugh, “but parts of it were very funny and very revealing and I liked it.” Saturday marked the second day of the Romney docu’s tour of Utah. The Greg Whitely-directed film had its world wremiere in Salt Lake City last night, with the former Massachusetts Governor and his wife Ann surprising the filmmaker and others by showing up unexpectedly. The Romneys were greeted by cheers in Salt Lake and stayed for the entire pic. Today the film played in Park City.  Mitt will debut on Netflix on January 24.
