Sundance: Who Managers Docu Joins Premieres Lineup

With little more than a week to go before the Sundance Film Festival kicks off, a bit of rock ’n’ roll was added today. Profiling legendary Who managers Kit Lambert and Chris Stamp, the docu Lambert & Stamp has joined the previously announced Premieres and Documentaries Premieres sections of the festival, which runs from January 16-26. The James D. Cooper-directed pic chronicles how the would-be filmmakers ended up handling the riotous and volume-defying London band. After its January 20th world premiere in Park City, Lambert & Stamp will be heading to its subjects’ old stomping grounds to be shown at the Sundance London film and music festival in April. The docu is the first one announced for the third annual London-based fest, with more titles expected in March. Late last month, Sundance added the Zach Braff-directed and Kickstarter-funded Wish I Was Here to its Premiere selection.
