AFM Briefs: Inception Film Partners Names EVP Sales & Distribution; American Cinema International To Handle International Sales For ‘Snake And Mongoose’

Inception Film Partners has hired industry vet Jim Harvey as EVP Sales and Distribution. He’ll be handling the company’s slate at AFM, including the animated Almost Heroes 3D, Andrew Bergman’s Eisner and rom-com Barefoot, directed by Andrew Fleming. Harvey most recently was president of Studio City Pictures, where he was involved with all aspects of the company including sales, finance, development and distribution. Prior to that, he was EVP Sales at Bold/Affinity Films, where he sold titles including Drive, Rabbit Hole and The Hole. Harvey has also held positions at Element Films, Myriad Pictures, Lakeshore International, Summit Entertainment and The Samuel Goldwyn Company.

American Cinema International is bringing its new acquisition Snake And Mongoose to Santa Monica this week. The actioner tells the true story of how legendary Southern California drag racers, Don “The Snake” Prudhomme (Jesse Williams) and Tom “The Mongoose” McEwen (Richard Blake), combined with corporate giant Mattel to put Hot Wheels on the map, put drag racing into the mainstream and revolutionize sports marketing forever. The film is written by Alan Paradise, co-written and directed by Wayne Holloway and produced by Robin Broidy and Stephen Nemeth. Snake And Mongoose also features Noah Wyle, Ashley Hinshaw, Tim Blake Nelson, Leonardo Nam, Ian Ziering and Fred Dryer.
