RATINGS RAT RACE: ‘Scandal’ Holds Steady For First No. 1 As CBS Comedies Hit Lows

It was a quiet start to the November sweep with shows slipping last night along with the Halloween-depressed HUT levels (down 8% from 8-11 PM and 10% from 8-10 PM). That makes Scandal‘s (2.9 in adults 18-49) week-to-week hold all the more impressive. And with CBS’ The Big Bang Theory (2.5) a repeat, Scandal ranked as the No. 1 program on Thursday night for the first time. ABC’s annual It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown special (2.2) doubled Once Upon A Time In Wonderland‘s rating in the 8 PM hour last week but was down 19% from last year. Grey’s Anatomy (2.6) slipped 7% but ABC still won the night in adults 18-49, the network’s first time topping the opening night of the November sweep in 6 years. (more…)
