RATINGS RAT RACE: ‘Super Fun Night’ & ‘Ironside’ Drop In Week 2, ‘Arrow’ Down In Return, ‘Tomorrow People’ Debuts OK

It was one of those “in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king” nights when everyone was down, so flat ratings were considered a victory. Week 2 was not kind to new series Super Fun Night and Ironside. ABC’s Super Fun Night (2.5/7) was down 22% from its premiere last week. Its lead-in, Modern Family (3.8), was down 10% and the highest-rated program of the night. The Middle (2.2) was even from its fast national last week, while newbie Back In The Game (1.7) was down a tenth. It tied Nashville (down 11%) as the lowest-rated program on ABC, which in turn tied CBS for the top Wednesday spot in adults 18-49.

SVU (1.6) posted a second consecutive double-digit week-to-week drop, down 20%. But NBC’s 8 PM anchor, Revolution (1.5), held steady, matching its fast national from last week but continues to flirt with a series low. The show was adjusted up in the finals but if it doesn’t this week, it will post an all-time low. (more…)
