UPDATE: Bravo’s Frances Berwick To Take Oversight Of Oxygen; Jason Klarman Exits

UPDATED: More top executive realignment at NBCU Cable Entertainment. In addition to Jeff Wachtel becoming President and Chief Content Officer, NBCU Cable Entertainment and Chris McCumber being named President, USA Network, Bravo topper Frances Berwick will take on oversight of Oxygen in addition to her current responsibilities. Jason Klarman, who had served as Oxygen Media president since 2010, is leaving the company (read his company memo below). “Frances has been responsible for generating the aspirational programming that’s made Bravo one of the most buzzed about brands in the business,” NBCU Cable Entertainment Bonnie Hammer said. “She’ll not only bring to Oxygen her impeccable brand savvy, but also identify key synergies to bring the same must-see passion to an all-new audience.” Berwick’s promotion consolidates two of NBCU’s pop culture brands, which also include E!. The fourth NBCU cable network with similar focus, Style, is being rebranded as Esquire Network, also part of the big changes unveiled today by Hammer after giving them “months of careful thought.”
