CNN Hires Jim Sciutto As Chief National Security Correspondent

CNN has hired Jim Sciutto, the former ABC News foreign correspondent who has spent the last year and a half as chief of staff and senior adviser to U.S. Ambassador to China Gary Locke. Sciutto is CNN’s new Chief National Security Correspondent. Sciutto, who’d previously spent more than a dozen years at ABC News, will report and provide analysis on all aspects of U.S. national security including foreign policy, the military, terrorism, and the intelligence community. “Jim’s vast experience reporting firsthand from around the globe will provide viewers with rich perspective on important stories domestically and abroad,” CNN Washington bureau chief Sam Feist said today.
