BBC America’s ‘Orphan Black’ Renewed For Second Season

BBC America has gone 2-for-2, renewing its second original scripted series, Orphan Black, for a second season. The network’s first original drama, Copper, also went to second season. Orphan Black‘s 10-episode second season will return as part of “Supernatural Saturday” in 2014. The conspiracy clone thriller’s renewal comes ahead of the series’ Season 1 finale on Saturday, June 1. “Tatiana Maslany has delivered one of the year’s standout performances,” BBC America’s Perry Simon said of the series’ star. Orphan Black, produced by Temple Street Prods in association with BBC America and Space, debuted March 30 with 684,000 total viewers and 375,000 in adults 25-54 (1.03 million Live+SD Cume). (more…)
