Kristoffer Polaha To Co-Star In CBS’ ‘Backstrom’, Kelly Hu In CW’s ‘The 100’

Kristoffer Polaha has joined Dennis Haysbert in the CBS/20th TV drama pilot Backstrom. Written by Hart Hanson based on the Swedish book series, the project centers on Everett Backstrom, an overweight, offensive, irascible detective as he tries, and fails, to change his self-destructive behavior. Polaha plays Sgt. Peter Niedermayer, the unit’s Forensics Liaison. Polaha, repped by Medavoy Management and WME, has been working steadily on series for the past several years with starring/co-starring roles on Life Unexpected, Ringer and Made In Jersey.

Kelly Hu (Arrow) has been cast in  the CW‘s The 100. Set 97 years after a nuclear war destroyed civilization, it revolves around 100 juvenile delinquents sent back to Earth to investigate the possibility of re-colonizing the planet. Hu, repped by Buchwald/Fortitude, Untitled and attorney Neil Meyer, will play Cece, the Chief Communications Officer on the Ark.
