Fox has officially slotted new unscripted series Does Someone Have To Go, burn-off comedy The Goodwin Games, Season 10 of So You Think You Can Dance and the fourth season of Masterchef. Additionally, the network has set the season-finale dates for its current series.
Does Someone Have To Go, in which employees of troubled companies are given the opportunity to shake things up, including firing co-workers, will get a preview May 15 behind Part 1 of American Idol‘s finale before moving into its Thursday 8 PM slot May 23. Season 10 of So You Think You Can Dance kicks off May 14, taking over Fox’s Tuesday primetime where the network has been airing a comedy block this season. Displaced comedies will relocate to Mondays beginning May 20, joined by The Goodwin Games, which will air its seven-episode order. Fox has slated repeats of New Girl, Raising Hope and The Mindy Project, giving the three shows very good odds at renewal. (Networks often don’t air repeats of cancelled series over the summer.) Masterchef returns May 22 with a two-hour premiere. The network is not saying what the cooking series will be paired with it afterward. As previously announced, Fox’s new alternative animated programming block will premiere July 27, airing in the Saturday 11 PM-12:30 AM slot.
