‘Secret Lives Of Wives’ Pilot Casts Regulars, ‘Bates Motel’ Series Adds Recurring Player

EXCLUSIVE: With all four female leads locked in, Lifetime‘s pilot The Secret Lives Of Wives has focused on casting the husbands. Callum Blue (Dead Like Me) and newcomer Derek Smith have landed co-starring roles in the project, inspired by the book by Iris Krasnow. The Secret Lives Of Wives explores the unvarnished truth behind the marriages of four different women — Michelle (Kim Raver), Reed (Salli Richardson), Keaton (Amber Clayton) and Jessie (Lauren Bittner). Brit Blue, repped by Gersh, KLWGN, and Ken McCreddie in the UK, will play Jessie’s husband Dan, a Lutheran Minister who looks more like a sexy rock star than a pastor. Smith, repped by Evolution and attorney Lev Ginsburg, will play Keaton’s husband of one year, an accountant. Blue’s credits also include roles on Smallville and The Tudors.

Keegan Connor Tracy (Once Upon A Time) is set to recur on A&E’s upcoming series Bates Motel, which serves as a prequel to Psycho. The series examines the twisted relationship between serial-killer-to-be Norman (Freddie Highmore) and his mother Norma (Vera Varmiga). Tracey, repped by RED Management, will play Miss Watson, Norman’s teacher and adviser. She recurs as The Blue Fairy on Once Upon A Time.
